At Iris Home Care, we offer comprehensive In-Home Support and Personal Care services, often referred to as Daily Living Skills. These are the everyday skills you use, such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, shopping, and more. Our goal is to provide the necessary support to help you learn to perform these tasks independently, enhancing your self-sufficiency and confidence.
What is Daily Living?
Daily Living encompasses four key support categories within an NDIS plan:
- Assistance with Daily Life
- Transport
- Consumables
- Assistance with Social and Community Participation
In your NDIS plan, the term “Daily Living” typically refers to a combination of two or more of these support categories, designed to meet your unique needs and help you live a more independent life.
What Does Assistance with Daily Life Cover?
The Assistance with Daily Life support category provides funding for services that help you complete everyday personal tasks. This may include assistance or supervision to enable you to live as independently as possible. Services we offer under this category include:
- Personal Care: Assistance with grooming, bathing, dressing, and other personal hygiene tasks.
- Household Tasks: Help with maintaining a clean and organized home environment.
- Cleaning & Laundry: Support with general cleaning and laundry tasks to ensure a tidy and comfortable living space.
- Meal Preparation & Delivery: Assistance with preparing healthy meals or arranging meal delivery services if required.
- Gardening: Support with maintaining your garden or outdoor space.
This support is available whether you live alone or in a shared living arrangement, ensuring that everyone has access to the help they need to thrive in their daily lives.
